TobyD Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Trying to upload my personal image failed because the file was too large. I had to manually shrink it down before uploading it. The avatar uploader properly resized the file.

The problem was not the dimensions but the size on disk. The limit was set to 50Kb. I've increased it to 200Kb.

The avatar is shown next to your posts and the user photo is shown on your profile page, and on the right hand side top of the web page. Thanks for the Gravatar support! Ton
Kevin Payne Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 It might be an idea to include the maximum avatar dimensions on the change avatar page, so that those of us who like to be in control of the re-sizing process know what the target size is.
