  1. QUOTE(TiT @ Jul 19 2007, 01:11 AM) The package release process is a little cumbersome at the moment, and Jim et al are working hard on making it easier and more straight-forward.
  2. QUOTE(abuch06 @ Jul 19 2007, 12:42 AM) No need to apologize QUOTE(abuch06 @ Jul 19 2007, 12:42 AM) for some reason the forum wont let me post the vi... is there a common reason for this or am i doing something wrong? Probably - check this out the forum tutorial section, and feel free to use the testing area as a scratch pad. QUOTE(abuch06 @ Jul 19 2007, 12:42 AM) another problem with my program: i cant get the x-axis to read more than 2000 pieces of data in at a time... after that it dumps the info and continues. Are you sure it's 2000? The default for a waveform chart is 1024 - right click on the chart and select "chart history length" - you can set it to whatever you want (within reason )
  3. QUOTE(george seifert @ Jul 19 2007, 12:06 AM) Yeah - I figured that was the issue, but I wanted to see the code first.
  4. QUOTE(abuch06 @ Jul 18 2007, 11:34 PM) Absolutely - show us your code so we can see what you're doing wrong.
  5. QUOTE(DougWilson @ Jul 18 2007, 11:47 AM) Welcome Doug! Have a wander around the site - we've got a wiki, a code repository, and more, and we'd be more than happy for you to help out - that's what it's here for
  6. We've just passed a milestone: thanks to some top-quality submissions from the LAVA community and the hard work of a hand full of LAVA Certified Volunteers, the LAVA Code Repository has just accepted and approved it's 50th high quality submission: "Get Data From Clipboard" from Karissap! Congratulations to everyone involved - it's a great resource, and this milestone shows that people are dedicated to growing the LAVA community - thank you! Just because we've made 50 doesn't mean that we're over the hill If you've got something that you'd like to get public, I encourage you to submit it to our LAVA Certified Assessors for us all to share...
  7. Well look at that - it works! Thanks a bunch Ton - that little button in the top right was the one I was missing  <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxQSLEP1dZI"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxQSLEP1dZI"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxQSLEP1dZI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
  8. Where's the "toggle rich text button"? I tried doing what you said using the "toggle HTML source" button and it didn't work - do I need to click "Save HTML" as well?
  9. QUOTE(Tomi Maila @ Jul 17 2007, 10:16 PM) I am indeed a Premium Member, and I tried what you said - it didn't work. Here's an example: go to http://youtube.com/watch?v=wy_TB6onHVE' target="_blank">this youtube page, copy the "embed" code into a LAVA thread and get that working. I know it works, I've done it before, but I've never gotten it right on the first go.
  10. Okay - I suck - can someone please post a step-by-step list on how to embed HTML into a LAVA post?
  11. LAVA/OpenG BBQ Door Prize Update: Ben from Enable Training and Consulting has generously donated a kick-arse door prize: A Nintendo Wii ...so, if you're undecided on whether you'd like to join us, you best get your "yes" reply in ASAP - click here
  12. QUOTE(tpdk @ Jul 16 2007, 03:41 PM) You're absolutely welcome - any time
  13. QUOTE(Ben @ Jul 17 2007, 12:11 AM) This is the LAVA Lounge - nothing's off-topic here
  14. QUOTE(Karissap @ Jul 16 2007, 02:32 PM) A couple of points: I think your "ctrl+V" text onthe FP should be "ctrl+C" Have you thought about submitting this to the http://forums.lavag.org/downloads.html' target="_blank">LAVAcr? I think it'd be a good place for it...
  15. QUOTE(rpursley @ Jul 14 2007, 12:50 PM) Thanks! I know it's only a bit more info, but I think it was important to round it out, especially when people search the forums for it.
  16. QUOTE(rpursley @ Jul 14 2007, 07:15 AM) Can you please post the code so we can see what's in the other cases?
  17. QUOTE(sachsm @ Jul 14 2007, 06:36 AM) Now THAT'S cool!
  18. This would be a great place to use "user" events - have a parallel loop watching the DAQ card and fire a user event when it sees the transition. Try "Find Examples" for "user event".
  19. Please do NOT post here - the support topic will be automatically created if/when the LAVAcr submission is approved.
  20. QUOTE(alfa @ Jul 13 2007, 08:34 PM) I dunno - he looks pretty scary to me...
  21. QUOTE(MartinD @ Jul 13 2007, 08:55 PM) Click http://forums.lavag.org/LAVA-Premium-Membership-t2449.html' target="_blank">here!
  22. QUOTE(Jeff Plotzke @ Jul 12 2007, 02:30 AM) Better? Possibly. Much Better? I don't think so. Sure, tabbed data is great for files that need to be easily human readable (everything lines up real purdy), but if the file only needs to be machine readable, then the delimiter is irrevant, as long as there is one and it doesn't appear anywhere in the data. As for the comma being used as a decimal deliniation in Europe - that's true, but I *think* that practise is slowly on the way out - anyone from over the ditch care to comment?
  23. QUOTE(anor @ Jul 11 2007, 11:52 PM) Sure - just use the output of the first button to switch the "Enabled" property node of the second: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6340''>http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6340'>http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6340
  24. I think a lot of the info in this thread would make an excellent "programatic memory allocation" wiki page...
