QUOTE(Matheus @ Jul 11 2007, 07:24 AM) I don't agree - Excel handles a range of delimters including TAB and COMMA, and I don't think that either of them is better than the other - it really depends on what you're trying to do.

I've used 16 USB serial ports with no issues (I didn't need to push them very fast). As an aside, we used a PCI-based serial "concentrator" (the model escapes me at the moment) with 128 serial ports, and it worked beautifully

QUOTE(rolfk @ Jul 6 2007, 03:02 PM) Rolf's right - in fact, all the IMAQ refnums are private implemenations. The only way to get "in" to them is to use non-bound property nodes on the wire, although that won't work on the IMAQ-AVI refnum. I think your only option is to either keep a memory space alive that contains the path of the AVI and check it (as a normal file) when you need to, or maybe have a dig around in the DLL that the IMAQ AVI VIs call - there might be something in there that you can use (if you can work out the DLL prototypes ) - Good luck!

QUOTE(tpdk @ Jul 6 2007, 02:57 PM) Can you post a full data string or file? Your string is inconsistant: for example, there's a "," between the first two records, and a "," plus a space between the second two records. Here's an example of what I *think* you're after: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6319''>http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6319'>http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6319

QUOTE(robijn @ Jul 3 2007, 03:09 AM) I'm not sure we're going to need a car pool, as NI is providing a bus (thanks NI!) That said, if we have overflow, I'm sure there'll be enough people to offer rides

QUOTE(hooovahh @ Jul 2 2007, 11:10 PM) There was a school gym where all the girls were lined up on one side of the basketball court, and all the boys were lined up on the other side. The boys were asked to move towards the girls exactly half the distance between them. Then they were asked to do so again. And again... When asked if they would ever meet, the following answers were found: Mathematician: "No." Physicist: "Yes... for all intents and purposes."

QUOTE(TiT @ Jun 30 2007, 05:59 AM) I gave you the wrong link initially, which logged you into the eVite site as me, so now you'll need to log out of the eVite site and log in as yourself.

QUOTE(TiT @ Jun 30 2007, 04:43 AM) Actually, the link I provided was the wrong one - it's fixed now. QUOTE(Jim Kring @ Jun 30 2007, 03:40 AM) I can only imaging how awesome it's going to be this year, now that you actually get to come. :worship: Actually, it'll probably be less awesome, as there'll be less beer and brisket for every one else... (seriously though: I've never heard of the Salt Lick running out of brisket, no matter how hard the LAVA/OpenG people try ) QUOTE(TiT @ Jun 30 2007, 04:43 AM) Is that serious ? I mean... do we really have to register on this "fuzzy" website ? Yes.

To continue the long-standing annual tradition of beer, BBQ & good times, you're invited to share an evening of social fun with the good people from LAVA (LabVIEW Advanced Virtual Architects), OpenG (LabVIEW's open source community), as well as some selected NI R&D folks to chew the fat (literally & figuratively). Take the opportunity of being at NI-Week to mingel with some of the world's greatest LabVIEW minds, and absorb the virtues of an open LabVIEW community, along with a pound or two of meat. There will be lucky-door prizes including LAVA clothing (members are encouraged to donate something as well!) http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=6273 Location: Salt Lick BBQ 18300 FM Rd 1826, Driftwood, TX US When: Tuesday, August 7, 6:00PM How to Attend: Online registration and pre-paying is required. Click here to Register. Getting there: NI is sponsoring a bus to get us there (thanks NI - you rock!) so meet in the exhibition lounge around 5:45pm for a 6pm sharp departure. If we have overflow, we'd appreciate it if those with cars could offer transport to/from the Salt Lick. Menu (all you can eat & drink): Beef Brisket, Sausage, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Bread, Butter, Sauce, Pickles & Onions, Iced Tea, Water & Coffee. Note: The Salt Lick is in a dry county, but we'll be so if you'd like a Shiner Bock or three, we'll be stopping the bus for 15 minutes at a local store to allow for beer purchases. Can I invite people? Are you kidding me? Of course you can! Why wouldn't you want to share some of the LAVA/OpenG goodness with those you love? The more people that know about LAVA and OpenG, the better! Why do I have to prepay? The SaltLick policy requires us to prepay for everything (as well as a security deposit) to confirm the reservation of the room (that's around $1,500). We've personally pitched in to put up the money up-front to get everything rolling, but you need pay the fee when confirming your place. As it's a limited-numbers event, there are no refunds (we're sure it won't be a problem, 'cause you'd be crazy to miss it!)
