  1. Welcome spider! Good places to start on our community are here and here. We also host a Knowledge Base (including the LabVIEW FAQ and have a Code Repository - check out the links above. We;re looking forward to your contributions
  2. Just because you stop scratching doesn't mean it'll heal  Are you kidding? Try LAVA, info_LabVIEW and ni.com developmer zone searchess...
  3. A good place to start is the National Instruments Instrument Device Driver Network. Your device isn't listed there, but there are a few with model numbers close to yours, and with a little adjustment to the VISA drivers you should be able to get something up and running. Another possible resource is the manyfacturer's website: http://www.advantest.com
  4. Sure do! You're best legal option is to buy the most up-to-date versions from NI. That said, someone here might have their own personal copy that they might be willing to sell...
  5. Welcome gammalight - it's always great to welcome new members. I hope that you get a lot out of the posts here, and we look forward to your chiming in with your 2cents as well One suggestion: a lot of the people on this forum appreciate it when you post a code snippet or at least a screen shot of the block diagram to help us more quickly (and accurately ) understnad what you're going through and make suggestions. I'm looking forward to you becomming and active member on the forum!
  6. ...and there is your answer! Looks like need to talk to your administrator Depending on company policies, admins are usually not keen to completely remove the station locking, but if given a good reason (it screws up my experiment because the data acquisition stops and I loose my data) they'll often help you out by increasing the time to the lock.
  7. You just need either longer arms or the behave when your mother's watching
  8. Although there's an outside chance that someone here might be able to help you out, this is a LabVIEW list - LabVIEW is a particular programming language. This is probably not the right forum to be asking this question. Good luck!
  9. This solution only requires one case structure, doesn't need the "Match True/Flase String" and feeds the case structure with the string: (the  was good tonight!) Download File:post-181-1160003173.vi
  10. Can you post your code or at least a screen shot so we can diagnose your issue?
  11. My favorite is TLA (three-letter acronym): I use it in meetings and usually people nod as though they understand - I've only been pulled-up on it twice, and both times we all had a laugh
  12. I'm a little concerned that NI-Vision and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) aren't listed.
  13. I could really go for something like that - I could even organise some of my company's time to support NI in doing it...
  14. "Functional" doesn't come from functional programming, but the fact that it's not just a global - it has some other sort of functionality inside. I'm not sure I'd use "intelligent" either, as the code and/or functionalty isn't necessarily intelligent... It's a quanry
  15. Anyone from NI care to comment?
  16. I agree, but is Lookout still available and supported by NI?
  17. ...but just above REXX (I loved REXX - it was available for OS/2 and like DOS batch file programming but on steriods. There was even a great GUI extension called VREXX - ahhhhh memories!)
  18. ...so you're leading a mainstream life!
  19. It's a great idea!
  20. ...and the original poster is going to get excited that they got soooooo many replies to their post!
  21. Boom boom!
  22. Hmmm - maybe it's been there too long for you to be able to edit it? That's okay - just post the new version.
  23. That's great news!
  24. I'd prefer it if you edited your original post and replaced the old one with the fully-open version
  25. *sigh* Yes you can, and you need LabVIEW. Unless you give us more information, that's all we can give you.
