FP.Get Image has strange results for minimized front panels

Anyone know why this happens?

If you use the FP.Get Image method on a VI that is in the normal window state and then in the minimized state, you get a different (shifted) image from the minimized one.

Here is an example:

get vi image minimized.vi

minimize me.vi

Bug or expected behavior? Any workarounds?

I built the same code in LV 7.1 and you don't see the issue, and its fine in 8.2.2 however at 8.5 you see the behavior you are experiencing.

So it looks like a bug.

A possible work around may be to build a LV 7.1 dll that does this operation for you.

You should report the bug anyway, it will surely not be fixed in LV 2009 but maybe in the next release in early 2010, so you'll probably need to use a work-around until then

I already reported it to NI in the past (CAR 160091). It appears in the beta pages as deferred (who knows until when. It's not exactly a critical issue).

Unless you need it to work! In my case I use this with a web service to get remote images of running VIs. If the user minimizes the app, my image is messed up!
