Sydney Dust Storms

Check out the dust storms in Sydney Cough Cough.

I woke up this morning, looked out the window and it was all red. I live in the Blue Mountains west of the city surrounded by bush so I thought it must be bush fires, thankfully its just dust.

I took this picture on the way to work in Sydney.

I had to cover my nose and mouth with a cloth to cycle to work.

I remember the occasional dust storm as a kid (I grew up here) - one of the major issues was that all the top soil would get picked up so there was nothing for the farmers to plant their crops in

That is amazing. I drove through something like that once in Colorado, but it wasn't nearly as dark or well defined. And it was scary.
