Create a 'proper' borderless vi (without the raised/embossed look)

Recommended Posts

Hello again,

I have a splash screen which loads at the start up of my vi. I've done it in the usual way - just a vi with the toolbar, titlebar, scrollbars turned off. It works perfectly.

However, the vi window has a light grey border which makes it look raised above the desktop. I know it is a very minor thing but I want to get rid of it so I can have a flat splash screen. Has anyone noticed this and figured out a solution? I'll post back if I figure it out myself.

Thank you for any help,

Martin

I ran into this today as well. If I make the window floating, the frame goes away. But if I leave it as a modal window, the border always appears even if it is not re-sizable. I'd like to have a borderless modal window...
