MartinMcD Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Hello again, I have a splash screen which loads at the start up of my vi. I've done it in the usual way - just a vi with the toolbar, titlebar, scrollbars turned off. It works perfectly. However, the vi window has a light grey border which makes it look raised above the desktop. I know it is a very minor thing but I want to get rid of it so I can have a flat splash screen. Has anyone noticed this and figured out a solution? I'll post back if I figure it out myself. Thank you for any help, Martin Quote
mje Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I ran into this today as well. If I make the window floating, the frame goes away. But if I leave it as a modal window, the border always appears even if it is not re-sizable. I'd like to have a borderless modal window... Quote
Wire Warrior Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 When I want a "borderless" appearance for a VI I use a transparent background. Have you checked out this document http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-1086#comment-5644 in the NI Developer community? Jason Quote
Jonathan Borduas Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Go look at the zip called: Windows API - region functions. at http://lavag.org/topic/13373-front-panel-with-round-corner/ You can change as you want the shape and appearance of your panel and keep the properties of the VI Quote
