  1. A very important distinction - thanks!
  2. What about it doesn't work? Can we just use the standard "Variant to Data" primative? If not, why not?
  3. I suggest the ban will be lifted very soon, as the British paparazzi have never been know to have high morals. Also, as rumour has it that she'll be a princess-in-waiting within the year - as soon as that happens, I don't think Canon and Pentax will be able to keep up with demand
  4. There are three "flavours" of CameraLink: Base, Medium (sounds like that's what you've got) and Full.
  5. Are you using Firewire? If so, ~400Mb/s is a limitation of FireWire 400.
  6. ...and this page shows the reception of the daily diegest. There's also this page which doesn't have "opserver" listed, so the server's down at the moment.
  7. I'd still like to see the code - and also a data file with your signal in it, if that's at all possible.
  8. Please upload the code you've already tried so we have something to comment on.
  9. Here's some ideas on the TDMS format.
  10. There a million things that could be wrong - please upload your code so we can comment on it.
  11. Show us the code.
  12. No worries - it happens to the best of us
  13. TELL US WHAT YOU WANT! List the "other factors" that you're interested in, and we can help you try to achieve them!
  14. I agree with Mike - if you want feedback, then solicit it throught the forum associated with the submission. Personally, I don't like it when websites that I've downloaded something from require me to log in as the first step of the download process so they can send me "so-how-do-you-like-our-product?" emails later on - I think that should be up to the developer and/or user to initiate, as automatically generated emails like that can seem pushy. Perhaps, if someone downloads a LAVAcr submission, then we could automatically subscribe the user to the associated support thread?
  15. From the LabVIEW Help:
  16. Alchohol dulls the pain Neat utility though!
  17. No worries me old mate (you must be enjoying the Ashes series almost as much as I am then )
  18. That's a magnificintly open-ended question - how about you tell us what you've thinking about doing and perhaps show us an example of what you've tried, and then we can tell you whether it can be done?
  19. Thanks Mike - I should have just put up the BD in the first place. No worries Graeme - sometimes it's just about hunting through the properties and methods until you find something that'll get the job done PS: you might want to check this out at around 11:30 tonight, London time... 20. If the default value of the front panel element is what you want it to return to, then this is a more generic method that doesn't require a case for every data type: Download File:post-181-1167664213.vi
  21. Hi Nick, and welcome to LAVA! What you're asking for isn't really a LabVIEW question per se, but more a tcp / HTTP question. LabVIEW can perform whatever tcp messaging you like, so try a google on terms like "get" "html" "tcp" etc...
  22. Nope - the building of the application into an exe is platform dependant (ie: if you build it on Windows it will only work on Windows, if you build it on Mac it will only work on Mac). Also, be careful that the components you're using aren't tied directly to the platform your developing on, as they will not work on other platforms (eg: .net components won't work on linux).

    Free UML Tools

Thanks for the info jimi, but can you give us some more information please? What about Visio makes it a good UML modelling utility, and not just a diagram drawing package (we can do that in Word or Paint if we really want to)? Also, I'd appreciate it if you formatted your post in the way I suggested - that will make it much easier for people to compare package differences.
