  1. ...but an exe and an installer have two very different purposes
  2. Aw crap - did you want that? Sorry - I saw it lying around and didn't think anyone wanted it (especially since it's the orange type), so I put it on eBay. don't worry though - there's plenty to go around...
  3. Even if it's someone else's... Now there's a saying I haven't heard in years!
  4. Lots and lots of people eat Vegemite, and lots and lots of people eat Marmite, although I think they're in distinct camps (ie: Vegemite "users" would never eat Marmite and vice versa). Apparently, then aussie Marmite recipe is very different to the pommy one, the former having a stronger more salty taste (much like Vegemite) with the latter being much milder. The trick with Vegemite is to use it very sparingly - an extremely thin layer on hot buttered toast for example. Personally, I can't stand either of them - they both taste like crap.
  5. Like the OpenG package files - that'd be pretty cool. I know that I've had to significantly change a number of my architectures to deal with the application instance changes (which I love, by the way ) and I know that it means a lot(?) of work is needed to be done to the app builder, but it's got to be done somehow. All that aside, I really don't mind how the new architecture of an exe is set up - I'd like to be able to help with ideas (who knows the strengths and weaknesses of building apps better than us LAVAer's?), but ultimately, as long as my apps run and it's an intuative architecture, then it's really up to NI...
  6. Great to see some physics being brought into the equation knifeman - can you at least upload some of your raw data? Then we can check out if it's appropriate for harmonic analysis.
  7. Which is why you should use "<Not a Path>" if you're really after something that's obviously not a path.
  8. Great idea!
  9. I shall indeed.
  10. Trust me: she's warming up in the wings
  11. This is my brother's layout (OO and HO): and, no, that's not my brother in the photo
  12. My goodness - my Guinness!
  13. As an aside Dirk J. - what is your avataar? It's insanely familiar, and is driving me crazy!
  14. Note: this forum is specifically for 8.x.x discussions (see the "Forum Rules" at the top of the page?), so asking for a solution in 7.1 is poor form. That said - have a look at tabs. Make a tab incidcator with multiple pages, and then iterate through the pages programmatically on button press. Then, if you like, you can hide the tabs themselves...
  15. Sure, creating unamed clusters uses less memory, but it's certainly not a good reason to do it. It may not be efficient, but I sure wouldn't call it a waste of memory...
  16. I think we can now officially consider this thread hijacked
  17. Use FireFox.
  18. All the more reasons to upload it!
  19. Oh bugger - and I got all excited because I thought it was a spelling mistake!
  20. Is there anything under the "details" section on this one? Are you able to post real code and your build spec (the whole project would be even better)?
  21. Yeah - and if you upgrade older code that uses this feature, you'll get a warning that it's not supported anymore.
  22. Welcome Chris! Oh, and commiserations on your imminent Ashes series loss... Same thing happened to me at UTS - we had to complete 4 of 8 tasks (we got to choose which ones to do) and the 8th was a LabVIEW task. I asked the lecturer about it, and he said that it hadn't be written yet, and was just in there as a placeholder for the next semester - I asked if I could write a task and then complete it - and, you guessed it, he agreed. My task is now part of the ciriculum (or, at least, it was last time I looked...)
  23. I agree, MikeAshe!
  24. That's pretty neat Mike - consider the concept prooved
