  1. I don't know what to tell ya. But in IMO, if you click on the title or the last unread link then you should just read the remaining thread. The page delimitation is just an arbitrary delineation. If you don't want to read it then don't click on the thread. What if it was just one long single page, then what part of the thread is considered unread?

In any case here's a link to the initial release notes. And the subsequent bug fix release.

If you want to post this directly to their bug tracker go here. Not sure if you can do this if you're not a customer but give it a shot.

  2. But I am afraid I to miss the portal view, specifically on a Monday or if I am out of work a couple of days. I like to see what has been posted over the last ... well however long I have been away really, I then first thing do a quick read through well skim through, some of the things that look interesting and make a mental note of things I want to read in more detail later in the day. In the portal view there are still there in that same view to come back to later.

In the unread contents view those items have now gone as I have looked at them.

Not true. You can do what you want with the new Unread Contents page. Just click on the date you desire on the left. You will then see all your items. They will never go away. You can preview read each item (without setting the read flag) by clicking the little arrow next to each post title. Any items you have already read will have the light grey background.

    It's pretty nice.

  3. Maybe the new mobile skin works great, and is perfectly functional, I haven't had the chance to test it out since the switch was pulled to force it, so please don't think I'm being critical. Yet. ;)

It works very well. Try it out.

There's no way to switch it off for Android tablets, or even by screen size. They have a switch for iPads only.

So in general, It seems everyone is happy with the new design and features?

  4. Hmmmm, but the old version of the site gave a nice mobile browser version that didn't need any 3rd party phone app (says he with a phone that is pretty much filled up with apps now  . I was sorta hoping to get that back again...

It does exist. You don't really need an app. I'll look into fixing this. Not sure why this is happening.

  5. One thing I've noticed already is that previously when opening links from the View Unread Content page, it would jump me to the latest unread post. This no longer happens.

See attached image. You have to click on the dot next to the post title.

  6. Make sure to clear you browser cache or do a "force reload" in you browser. Ton, not sure why you see that. BTW, the lava logo will be updated but has not been done yet.

Also. Ton. Image attachments should be working fine. Why did you use an external image hosting site?

  7. I setup a Gallery album for anyone who wants to post photos from NIWeek 2011 here:

    http://lavag.org/gal...50-niweek-2011/

Everyone who can't make it to NIWeek would love to see your photos.

No need to create your own album. It's a public album. If you feel the need to create an album, please put it under the NIWeek 2011 parent album.

Short video tutorial on how to upload images:

  8. I love this line form the ad: "prefer proficiency in C/C++ programming". I guess that counts me out laugh.gif

I wonder if my 17 years experience in G overrides that.

You will only know if you're qualified, if you apply. Half the work is just showing up. A lot of people don't.

  9. I think allowing undo after save would have helped here. There's already an idea exchange post on it. And it looks like it's in Beta so we might see it in the next release? Who knows.

But I am on board with you Crystal. I can feel your pain. I've been in that situation before. I also agree that the diagram cleanup is bad. I would go over here and do some yelling.

I have not tried it but I heard Mercurial, another SCC program actually allows you to have a localized repository so you could have gotten out of that situation perhaps.
