  1. Just updated this. We now have LV 2010 version as an option.
  2. I wanted to clarify some things (in case it wasn't clear). You can Apply VIPC configuration files using the Free VIPM Community Edition. You need VIPM Professional if you are creating VIPC files. So if developers are configuring their project for development then they can use the free VIPM community edition. VIPC files are configuration files. You have the option to include the actual package inside the VIPC file (the default mode) if you want but this is not mandatory. We recommend this for users configuring development environments on non-networked machines or using sneaker-net. If you don't include the packages inside the VIPC file, then only the package name is included. When VIPM tries to Apply the VIPC file (install\upgrade\downgrade all the packages defined in the configuration), it tries to look-up the packages on all known internal (corporate) repositories. Or external NI or JKI repositories. The package may even already be located on the local PC cache as well. Once the packages are located, they are installed as normal. Of course you can also have a combination of the above. Some packages inside the VIPC and others included only by reference.
  3. I didn't know we allowed LabVIEW 7.1 users to hang out on LAVA?
  4. Ya, that's google. Probably 'cus Daklu posts some really interesting posts that cover useful topics? Not to sidetrack the topic. But if you want to know LAVA status, check @lavag on twitter. You are using twitter right? Also, if you notice site issues, just send a twitter message to @lavag, with or without a link to a specific topic or post.
  5. Happy Birthday Cat! Who knows why the system didn't register your birthday. There are a few dusty corners around here on LAVA, and it looks like you hit one.
  6. Thanks for sharing LuP. It's great when LAVA members take the time to contribute code to the forums. This is how we all grow. Appreciate it.
  7. Voting is now open! Click here to vote: http://bit.ly/aIYPMz
  8. Please add the version number of your software in the Name please (0.9.1). Also, the current date is listed in the description.
  9. There is also an awesome keyboard shortcuts page on our wiki here. http://labviewwiki.o...yboard_shortcut Please add any new ones discovered there. Thanks.
  10. What are you trying to do? Access your data structure via property nodes? Why? Just use bundle and unbundle on clusters and objects. Is it because of the property node uses references?
  11. Well. It hasn't reached 300 but it's in 3rd place. So that's awesome! It also surprises me that none of the idea exchange ideas ever reach really crazy number of votes. Like i've never seen 1000 votes or something. I wonder what this means? There are not that many LV users out there. LV users don't like voting. They don't visit the idea exchange. They are not aware of the idea exchange. They don't like any of the ideas. (even then, why the hell wouldn't you vote?)
  12. It's really frustrating reading this thread because we can't see your code. Could you attach your code? Not pictures. The actual VI file. Based on the error dialog, this is what I came up with: The problem is solved in the above statement. "...allowing it to Create the NEW date folder (E.g. 100824) and transmit text data into the folder." Basically, the file does not exist yet. In the image I attached I'm showing the Read Characters From File.vi, however I'm not sure if you are reading or writing. So find the appropriate VI in your case. So if the folder hasn't been created yet then how can either a read or a write occur without error? Of course you will have an error if you haven't created the folder yet.
  13. Yes! Thanks Mikael. What amazes me the most is how far the Russians got. And with a space gun no less.

  15. It takes balls of steel to release a LabVIEW toolkit product and I commend SAPHIR for stepping up to the plate. Having gone down that road, I can tell you it's not something any company should or can take lightly. I'll eagerly wait for a trial version and will provide any feedback I can to help test and improve the product.
  16. Hmm, now where was that LAVA disclaimer. I had it around here somewhere.
  17. Benny LAVA 3.0. Our old friend is back. Take it easy *ussy! Watch embedded video or click here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeVV7e_ZC4w
  18. LabVIEW 2010 should have the same or similar examples. You can also use LabVIEW 2010 to open the VIs in the Everyone folder on the CD.
