jhmccourt7
What happened to all the games that used to be available on this site? Quote Link to comment
hooovahh
Are you lost? Except for the occasional Space Explorer Game or LabVIEW Game Console, LabVIEW hasn't had a whole lot of games made for it. But if you're complaining please feel free to develop some LabVIEW games and post them here. As for making them online that may be a challenge. Quote Link to comment

The LAVA 1.x had an Arcade section. Edited October 29, 2009 by Gary Rubin Quote Link to comment

Darren
The new LAVA doesn't have any games. I haven't heard Michael mention bringing them back, either. -D Quote Link to comment
crelf
The new LAVA doesn't have any games. I haven't heard Michael mention bringing them back, either. If there's seriously enough call for it then we can look in to what it would take to get them back (or if it's even possible). That it took this long for anyone to notice (well, notice enough to post) suggests not, although please post if you're truly interested. It was a conscious decision to not bring a lot of the LAVA 1.0 functionality online, as we really wanted to concentrate on what LAVA members find most valuable. Personally, I usually just waste my time over at teagames.com Quote Link to comment
Darren
Yeah, I used to play the games on here a lot, but there's so many alternatives at this point that it probably doesn't make sense to put any effort into bringing them back here...well, unless it's a gallery of LabVIEW-based games, that is... -D Quote Link to comment

PaulG.
All games? Sheesh. You would think the NMCI would at least allow war games. Quote Link to comment

"The only winning move is not to play." What an unfortunate domain name you have Cat http://www.urbandict...e.php?term=nads I think BigBrassOnes must have been already taken by some other branch of the military. Quote Link to comment

hooovahh
Personally, I usually just waste my time over at teagames.com Wow and when I thought my productivity couldn't get any lower with Wikipedia, Youtube, and Digg combined. Just don't tell my....oh. But seriously I don't think I've played any online games (like in browser) in several years. There's just so much interesting things going on, on the internet that games aren't as interesting as the latest updates from some of the projects I'm following. Anyone for a game of global thermonuclear war? "Would you like to play a game?" Definitely before my time, but wasn't Ally Sheedy hot in that movie? Quote Link to comment
PaulG.
...I don't think I've played any online games (like in browser) in several years ... I don't think I've ever played a game online. However, Civilization is going online next year. I might be up for that. Quote Link to comment

Wow. ...it probably doesn't make sense to put any effort into bringing them back here...well, unless it's a gallery of LabVIEW-based games, that is... We could add a new section to the LAVA Code Repository for LabVIEW games if y'all are interested. Quote Link to comment

And the gauntlet has been thrown! EDIT: I did Boggle in LabVIEW a few years back after one of our kids was born. My wife and I used to play quite a bit, but after the kid came along we were afraid to make noise shaking the letter blocks. The LabVIEW version is much quieter. I'm leery about posting it though, as I took the letter distributions right off cubes of the real game. Edited October 31, 2009 by Gary Rubin Quote Link to comment
