Aristos Queue Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) I have a couple of XControls that I use for custom probes. I gave them to someone else to use, but they didn't want to use them because they'd heard stories about XControls in custom probes causing crashes. Has anyone else done this? Is there a problem I should be wary of? I searched the CAR database and didn't find anything, but my search skills might have missed something or sometimes customers know of issues that they've never had time to post, so I figured I'd ask. As far as I can tell, it works great. Edited July 31, 2014 by Aristos Queue Quote
PiDi Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 I'm using ViBox probles from SAPHIR (they're on VIPM), and all of them are xcontrols. I've never noticed any fatal crash on windows. And, of course, they doesn't work on RT. Quote
hooovahh Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 The only one I know I've used is the Variant Probe. Used in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Never seen a crash that was unexpected, while using this probe. Quote
Antoine Chalons Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Same here, I use Saphir's probes (based on XControls) and it works fine for me. Quote
