crelf
Hi all, I think I remember NI marketing a one-slot cDAQ chassis - it was a neat little thing that any cDAQ module would plug in to, and then your plug the other end into a USB port through a cable. Was I dreaming when I read about it? I can't find it here. Quote Link to comment

That sounds like compactRIO... Ton (Would need a big deal of programming to be fully flexible in accessing all possible card configurations) Quote Link to comment

PJM_labview
Since we are on the topic of "hardware" wish list, I want a cRIO with optional FPGA back plane. I want the modules, the processing power, not the FPGA. PJM Quote Link to comment

Those devices should be able to commuicate through RS232 or TCP-IP or CAN or SPI, to allow the development of "deeply" distributed systems. And hey, that rides directly on the multiprocessing wave Quote Link to comment
lvb
Nice to know they are now selling it as an individual module. Last October, I had a spare IEPE 9233 I wanted to use with the carrier. I had to purchase a USB-9421 just to get the carrier module! Quote Link to comment
