  2. Yes I do happen to know about LuaVIEW and its future. We haven't yet defined an exact timeframe of when and what things will happen, but expect LuaVIEW to be maintained and even improved in the future. A few things in the pipeline though no promises they will all be released: - Fix some minor errors in newer LabVIEW versions with the unit tests - Make the LuaVIEW core a shared library instead of a CIN - Provide direct VISA and .Net interfaces in LuaVIEW from a script - Make it's distribution VIPM compatible - Get it Lua 5.1 compatible - Add additional targets (x86 Mac, x64 Mac, x64 Windows, possibly cRIO VxWorks)

  3. I am glad to announce that I have passed my CLA as of 3/1/2012. I am happy to join this selected group of experts and hope to live up to your critisisms and expectations! To bad I can't join you for the 2012 summit, but I hope to be there for 2013 and at NI Week! The CLA is one of toughest exams I've taken so far, next to the FE, but it I'm glad I can join this extinguished group. I do have to thank my coworkers and management for allowing me this oportunity, and for pushing me to improve myself. Without them and my recent projects, I doubt I could have learned enough to make it this far. Now, all I have to do is to live up to the excpetations placed upon me! I only hope I don't dissapoint you.

  5. No. You cannot cast clusters containing variable length items (like strings and arrays) but the clusters can be contained within an array and can be compund types. If you could set the length of the arrays to be a specific value, then you would be able to use arrays etc within the cluster (as you can with FPGA), but this feature isn't available in normal LabVIEW. The cluster is synonymous with the C "structure" (struct) which also cannot define variable length arrays within its definition.
