Maybe I'm not understanding it right (it certainly wouldn't be the first time), but the new right-click like-items feature seems kind-of bogus to me. Here's what I'd expect: say I put 2 string constants on a block diagram. If I right click on one of them I get a bunch of options in the right-click menu (like 20 of them, with submenus). Now if I select both of them and right click, all I get is 2 options. Now I'm not assuming I should get *all* of the options, but only 2? Yes, I know that the Properties option gives me access to a lot of the stuff that I'm after, and that's what I'm forced to do right now, but that's just not intuative - it changes my work flow in a negative (and much slower) way. Why can't those options be determined at right click time?

We are strongly encouraging users to create projects from templates, but if you have the need to create blank projects often you can change the menu to the old behavior with the useNewProjWiz INI token described on the LabVIEW WIKI: http://labviewwiki.org/LabVIEW_configuration_file/Miscellaneous

You folks with your luxurious "written requirements" and "specifications"! All my reqs and specs are transmitted verbally and telepathically. Not a complaint - it's fun when the customer says, "Wow! I didn't think that could be done!"

this is probably the idea with the most duplicate ideas I guess NI added up the votes, it's not only a great idea but it's also vital for the developers sanity!

Absolutely. The custom user events mechanism is very powerful when combined with a UI and I think it would be a great evolution to the QSM. Not used in all situations (someones signature comes to mind) but in my mind I don't know why I would use native queues anymore, other than possibly interfacing with other already written tools. And even then a wrapper could be done to convert an incoming queue to a user event.

Here is some benchmarking of a Quicksort Implementation where I adjusted the settings of the subVI: No debugging, debugging, debugging + password. I'll let you be the judge, subVI was saved and closed for all three tests.
