  1. Stephen, Thank You Very Much! I Have been bitching about this for years. You have earned at least one  at NI week. PJM. Note1: Funny thing is I have a use case for this right now. Note2: As Jim mentioned it is not borderless but I can live with one pixel border (<=> 2pixels separation between array elements).
  2. Went fine except for one error during the device driver installation (I think this was on the IVI driver). PJM
  3. As other have mentioned before, NI has outdone themself with the readme file for this LabVIEW update. We finally have access to the entire bug fixes list. Kudo NI  Here it is: The LabVIEW 8.2.1 http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5424 PJM
  4. QUOTE(LV Punk @ Apr 5 2007, 01:44 PM) Absolutely.
  5. Just got mine in the mail today (directly from UK). http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5419 PJM A side Note: To have both the user name and the user serial number on the envelop does not seem to be the most secure thing to do...
  6. Also, updating ring strict type def does NOT propagate to the block diagram constant by default (see this thread for more info). PJM
  7. QUOTE(Tomi Maila @ Apr 3 2007, 01:21 PM) None that I know of. I just put it there for fun. Since it would never occured to me to use a for loop, I start to look for other ways that I could have missed. You can call it the obfuscated LV2 Global. PJM
  8. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Apr 3 2007, 10:09 PM) As a side note, this game seem to be based on the french one called "Des chiffres et des lettres" (loosly translate as "Words and Numbers"). This game show has been going on in France for ever (apparently since 1972). PJM
  9. Just to get the discussion going, here is another style of "LV2 global" (I dont think it can be call this anymore in this situation, but ...). I am sure that Stephen is going to like this one http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5396 http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5394 PJM http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5395
  10. I Just tried it in IE6 and it works just fine. Norm, I think its an issue with your configuration. PJM
  11. QUOTE(crelf @ Apr 2 2007, 04:30 PM) Ah, yes of course! What was I thinking... PJM
  12. QUOTE(Aristos Queue @ Apr 2 2007, 03:48 PM) hmm... http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5390 PJM
  13. QUOTE(crelf @ Mar 29 2007, 06:53 PM) Why settle for the plated seat when you can have it all solid? PJM
  14. LabVIEW Graphical Programming Course PJM
  15. Welcome, I am sure you will enjoy using LabVIEW. This is a fun programming language. QUOTE Before we can answer that we need to know which flavor of LV do you have, Base, Full, Professional. In anycase, I will try to answer. There are a lot of differences. The most noticeable in my opinion is that Lv 6.0 does not have event structure. Also for beginner LV >= 7.0 has express VIs that help you get going with almost no coding. QUOTE 2. I borrowed some book. but is there an online tutorial? Check this LabVIEW Graphical Programming Course, but remember google is you friend... QUOTE 3. how long do i have to take to be able to do some basic data processing by labview, let's say, like a fourier transformation? or a convolution? LabVIEW ship with FFT and Convolution VIs, so depending on your flavor of LV, not very long. QUOTE 4. how long do i have to take to become an experienced labview programmer (please don't laugh at me Well, this depend why you mean by "experienced". One of the greatest advantage of LV is that it allow you to get going and do stuff very quickly with very little experience. A corrolary to that statement is that the end result is most of the time not maintainable in the long run. I am sure some other LAVA member will chim in with more on this topic. PJM
  16. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Mar 26 2007, 11:38 AM) This seam to work great! PJM
  17. Where do you want bugs to be reported? I did not saw a forum on you web page. PJM
  18. I did some cleanup of Jim Glyph so the edges are smoother. Before: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5294 After: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5297 After with transparency: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5295 Source image used: http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5296 PJM
  19. QUOTE(crelf @ Mar 22 2007, 08:03 AM) Actually I like this one. I pretty much dislike all the others (such as: who has seen a profile today, the arcades stat history [it would be ok if only a given user could see his/her history though]...). PJM
  20. QUOTE(BenD @ Mar 22 2007, 08:21 AM) If you do not want to build your plugin (source distribution of some sort), the only sollution is to make sure that each plugin contain only primitives (no SubVI calls of any kind). PJM
  21. QUOTE(Neville D @ Mar 21 2007, 12:35 PM) I have and this is a nifty feature that can save you a lot of times (an it is perfect for this kind of situation when everything work in the IDE but not in the deployed build). Of course this assume that you are trying to build in LV >= 8.0. Did you import this project from another LV version? If so NI might have inserted some compatibility VI in your plugins and when invoked from the build framework, they fail. Also, are your plugins "build" (for example as an llb) separately? Anyway, please give us more info. PJM
  22. Here is one for OpenG Developer (Feel free to improve) {{OpenG Developer}} http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=5249 PJM
