  1. QUOTE(PaulG. @ Jun 18 2007, 10:23 PM) http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?showtopi...amp;#entry14624 http://forums.lavag.org/Source-Code-Contro...p;mode=threaded http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?showtopi...ed&pid=6688
  2. QUOTE(Jim Kring @ Jun 18 2007, 06:36 AM) These are certainly exciting times. With technology like that maturing, it's almost impossible to imagine the possibilities...
  3. QUOTE(Jim Kring @ Jun 18 2007, 06:26 AM) Love it! Maybe it should be renamed "Bottom five reasons for not using source code control"
  4. QUOTE(yen @ Jun 18 2007, 03:49 AM) Whilst I've never driven in India (I have in Sri Lanka and that was pretty damn scary!), that video has been sped up (you can tell by how unnaturally fast the people are walking in the foreground). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjrEQaG5jPM' target="_blank">Here's a link to a more appropriate speed (still a little unnerving )
  5. QUOTE(eaolson @ Jun 18 2007, 02:46 AM) I don't think it sould go away (it's in the LAVA Lounge, so anything goes here). But I do think it's time I started ignoring it (again).
  6. QUOTE(yen @ Jun 17 2007, 06:16 AM) We did, but it's still funny For that reason, I'm not going to edit the job description - who knows? Maybe we'll do it again
  7. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Jun 16 2007, 05:29 PM) I'd like an instantiation of that! Note: whilst I'm looking to fill an immediate need with a US Person or two, I'm always open to receive applications for LabVIEW and/or TestStand superstars that aren't US Persons. If you think you fit this mould, please PM me.
  8. QUOTE(Tomi Maila @ Jun 16 2007, 06:18 AM) Chief Technology/Technical Officer? You'll have to fight me for that one
  9. QUOTE(Thang Nguyen @ Jun 16 2007, 04:50 AM) Leaving the "good" comment alone, a lot of the work we're doing is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Traffic_in_Arms_Regulations' target="_blank">ITAR restricted. Believe me, as an Aussie ex-pat, I'd be happy to accept applications from anywhere in the world, but it just doesn't make business sense for me to hire non-"US Persons" right now.
  10. QUOTE(ohiofudu @ Jun 16 2007, 04:21 AM) Please PM me (as the job description says) - but make sure you meet all of the required attributes before you apply.
  11. QUOTE(crelf @ Dec 7 2006, 04:18 AM) More positions available - please IM me if you're interested.
  12. QUOTE(rolfk @ Jun 15 2007, 06:20 PM) Well said Rolf

QUOTE(Sherif @ Jun 15 2007, 10:35 PM) Can you please post your solution so we can all benefit from it?
  15. QUOTE(alfa @ Jun 15 2007, 06:56 PM) So why are you quoting an article that, essentially, disproves what you're saying?
  16. Welcome to LAVA! One unspoken (and sometimes spoken) rule here is that you need to show us something that you've already tried and we'll comment on it. Have a good look around, try a forum search, wander through the LabVIEW wiki and LAVA Code Repository - who knows? Your issue might have already been solved...
  17. QUOTE(alukindo @ Jun 15 2007, 09:33 AM) Although we've all got the OpenG package installed (right?) I think LabVIEW would really benefit from having some of those VIs in a subPalette in the File palette.
  18. QUOTE(Herbert @ Jun 15 2007, 07:25 AM) These VIs aren't exposed in the standard functions palette, but they are if you install the file package from http://forums.jkisoft.com/index.php?showtopic=233' target="_blank">OpenG.

    First time!

QUOTE(pallen @ Jun 15 2007, 02:02 AM) I share your jubilation, but with a little more temperance: I've been asked a number of times about a Windows to Linux migration, but when I've pressed the customer as to why, the reply is usually one of the following: I don't know why, but I've heard that Linux is cool! I use Linux at home, and if you do the migration management will be forced to look at Linux more closely Linux is cool because <insert a list of cool features here that are completely irrelevant to the project at hand> These type of projects are invariably squashed.
  20. QUOTE(Ben @ Jun 15 2007, 01:46 AM) Isn't it delicious? It could explain so much if you really let your mind wander.
  21. QUOTE(jpdrolet @ Jun 14 2007, 10:49 PM) Sure I have, but that doesn't prove that QUOTE(alfa @ Jun 14 2007, 06:01 PM) Quantum mechanics... is misinterpreted as implying that the human mind controls reality and that the universe... PS: I'm particularilty (no pun intended) interested in entangeld particles...
  22. QUOTE(Gary Rubin @ Jun 14 2007, 09:55 PM) Thanks Gary - can I get an "Aaaaaaamen"?
  23. QUOTE(alfa @ Jun 14 2007, 06:01 PM) I'm sure I'm not the only modern physicist here that, at least internally, responds with an "that's absolutlety NOT an accurate description of quantum machanics". Throwing comments like that around is irresponsible at best and beligerent at worst (I have no idea why I expect anything better): you can't say something like that without referencing it - talk is cheap, show us the reference.
  24. QUOTE(tcplomp @ Jun 14 2007, 04:06 PM) I don't know if that's really a limitation of the IPB RSS feed or your reader - I know what you're asking for, and, sure, the IPB doesn't implement that directly, but your RSS reader might be able to sort by thread - and that's just as good in my opinion.
