Ton Plomp replied to hviewlabs's topic in LAVA Lounge
Me Too (twice), I've already notified Micheal via a PM so there's no need for anyone else to do so. hviewlabs, you'd better remove the email address from your post. Ton -
Oh and while you are doing LuLu's homework Could you help me to build a system that monitors every train that passes by on a track (weight, speed, type, number of people carried, temperature, pH, Mood of the driver, coffee spill on the floor, number of non-paying commuters, number of loud-noise MP3 devices, and everyone's credit card details) LuLu if you don't want to do the homework, quite school Ton

Ton Plomp replied to crelf's topic in Announcements
OK I downloaded your total shameless plug, but I get a not-registered error when running the app, is there something I have to do? Ton -
QUOTE(crslick @ Oct 31 2007, 08:23 PM) I don't really udnerstand what you want. Could you show a part of the code you already have? Since you want user interaction have a look at user events. Ton

QUOTE(WMassey @ Oct 28 2007, 02:55 PM) QUOTE(Aristos Queue @ Oct 28 2007, 05:42 PM) The VI Analyzer includes a test that flags any coercion dots. See here, where I posted some code that uses VI analyzer to check for this. Ton

It get's even freakier, if you scroll the chart off-screen it will always error... It has nothing to do with the tab. I've gathered some statistics: On the horizontal axis you see the index, the y-axis shows the number of erros/non-errors. In red the errors and with white squares the non-errors. In the left-upper hand I had half of the plot visible, upper right the full plot visible, lower left none of the plot visible (scrolled off-screen) Strange. Ton On winXP and LabVIEW 8.5

Here's the long run: Create a Tool VI that: finds the center of the current selected wire, get the datatype, drop a system label with the correct make-up. Ton Warning it's already saturday night here

Programmatically detect if inputs are wired

QUOTE(Yen @ Oct 27 2007, 08:05 PM) I'm not sure what Chris is referring to but NaN can be composed in numerous ways. That's the reason of the 'Is NaN?' primitive Ton -
QUOTE(BrokenArrow @ Oct 27 2007, 07:11 PM) Not to nag you, but you know you can create a description for a wire, and see that in the Help window? But your idea sounds good, and it shouldn't be too hard to code it. Ton

Development Environment Toolbar

QUOTE(JDave @ Oct 22 2007, 08:02 PM) No I ran a VI (By Ref) if another VI was activated QUOTE The code you uploaded has a single picture control. Were you evisioning having a single XControl to replace the picture control, or an array of buttons that are each XControls? Up until now I have viewed XControls as helpful if you have a complex FP object that you want to use in several situations. It encapsulates the functionality so you can replicate it else where. I have not dabbled in XControls at all, so could you please help me see how they would be beneficial here? What I did was having for every Event a special VI that I ran by-ref. I had quite some problems with typedeffing VIs. This would not be simplified with XControls, but it's something that better suits me right now. I would have an XControl for every button, and maybe one XControl for every bar. Ton -
