Popular Post vugie Posted July 17, 2009 Popular Post Report Posted July 17, 2009 I have a proposition for a new LAVA 2.0 top banner. Because you liked my design for t-shirt, I modyfied it a little bit to suit it better for horizontal orientation. It looks like this: It is suited rather for light background (just like block diagrams are), but I can think of modyfing it for dark ones. For blue or dark blue also some colors should change. What do you think? 4 Quote
Michael Aivaliotis Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 I think a new logo design is a good idea. I like the volcano with the wire coming out the top. I don't like the lettering (red blue wires) and the yellow comments style. It should take on some characteristics of LabVIEW but not really look like a diagram. Quote
crelf Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 I like the new version in the banner (see below), but I think it'd be better with the red and blue wires coming out the bottom. 1 Quote

Yair Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 How about something like this? Too much noise? Quote
vugie Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 I think that we'd need a feedback node for that dataflow to work No... LAVA has always looked in opposite direction... How about something like this? Too much noise? Noise is here second order thing. When you change V to equivalent and more elegant compound arithmetic node it won't be too readable Quote
Popular Post vugie Posted July 20, 2009 Author Popular Post Report Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) Sorry for doubleposting, but where is the edit button? [edit]THIS post has edit button, previous one had not (even when it was the last one) [/edit] ...It should take on some characteristics of LabVIEW but not really look like a diagram. I'm not too convienced that it looks too much like BD and why it should not, but ok - what about this? (background color is same as current one) Yeah, the Web 2.0 style... forgive me. crelf Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 That's pretty! I'd still like to see the slight yellow glow in the background... Quote

I was looking for this post to answer the question. It appears regular members can edit for 60 minutes... http://lavag.org/topic/10365-how-do-i-edit-my-post-in-a-thread/page__view__findpost__p__61817 Edited July 20, 2009 by Phillip Brooks Quote
TobyD Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 This glow is the main reason I wanted this banner to be changed I actually prefer it without the glow as well. Nice work! Quote

i2dx Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I'm not too convienced that it looks too much like BD and why it should not, but ok I don't think the logo should look to much like a BD. LAVA is the Front panel of the LV-Community (because we are talking in the bright light of the general public here ) not the hidden block diagram Yeah, the Web 2.0 style... forgive me. i like it!
