Michael Aivaliotis Posted September 30, 2024 Report Posted September 30, 2024 I've been getting reports recently from people, that the LabVIEW Wiki is offline sometimes. I've never experienced this myself so I'm curious if people on here have noticed anything. Typically, the issue manifests with a 503 Service Unavailable message. I will investigate further this weekend when I have time, but just wanted to get some general idea. Quote

Wish the NI site was even remotely as fast. 😀 Quote
Antoine Chalons Posted October 1, 2024 Report Posted October 1, 2024 same here, I don't check the wiki every day, on average I go 2-3 times a month, I never had issues. Quote
Bryan Posted October 1, 2024 Report Posted October 1, 2024 Just checked and it seems responsive for me. I'm not on it as much as I am on LAVA though. Quote
ensegre Posted October 1, 2024 Report Posted October 1, 2024 No pb for me as well, neither today nor past times I consulted it. But all together I'm on it quite seldom. Quote
LogMAN Posted October 2, 2024 Report Posted October 2, 2024 Yes this happens sometimes. It typically fixes itself after reloading a few times. To be fair, it never happened when actively browsing or editing pages. For me it mostly happens in the morning when I access it for the first time. And it manifests as a DNS lookup error. Quote
Michael Aivaliotis Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM The LabVIEW Wiki has received an update. Hopefully, it responds with fewer errors. 1 Quote
LogMAN Posted Wednesday at 04:36 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:36 PM Happy New Year! This is great! It certainly feels more responsive and modern. File deletion now also works, which means that we can finally get rid of old inappropriate files The TreeAndMenu extension is missing, however, which breaks certain pages: LabVIEW VI Analyzer Toolkit - LabVIEW Wiki Events - LabVIEW Wiki Quote

It's broken in MediaWiki 1.43. I'm investigating a fix. Quote
LogMAN Posted Thursday at 02:23 PM Report Posted Thursday at 02:23 PM Thanks. The extension has not been updated since 2021. It is, however, listed as "stable". There is another issue, the list of recent changes is not updating: https://labviewwiki.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges The most recent change listed is from December 27th, 2024. Quote

I had to disable an extension that was breaking that page for some reason. 4 hours ago, LogMAN said: The extension has not been updated since 2021. It is, however, listed as "stable". I did a quick test in a private MediaWiki instance and got it to work using the fix available on GitHub: Switch jquery.cookie to mediawiki.cookie by paladox · Pull Request #1 · debtcompliance/TreeAndMenu · GitHub 1 Quote
