Twitter usage at NIWeek

Recommended Posts

I think the twitter usage at NIWeek this year will reach an all-time high. With more and more NI folks and LAVA members using twitter, it should be a fun time.

Don't forget that LAVA has a twitter account: http://twitter.com/lavag

The LAVA team will be using this to post last minute NIWeek goodness. So follow us!

Also I suggest everyone update their LAVA profiles with their twitter account names so we can all keep in touch.

Who else will be at NIWeek and using twitter? Reply to this thread.

... how about using 'Spoolie' ...

Uh ... um ... er ... I don't know about using Spoolie. He reminds me too much of "Clippy" (or whatever his name was) in Windows help. A LAVA mascot would be cool, but I think we need something a little less cute. I get enough cute overload from my cats as it is. wub.gif

That was the whole idea!

Twitter (like most internet traditions) is one of those things that either you get it - and love it - or you don't.

Being a stereotypical anti-social introvert I'm downright stumped why I would even care that somebody just bought a latte and "OMG! The barista was so rude!" or why anybody else would care that I "Closed 4 bugs today." I signed up solely so I can get up to the minute information on any new stuff announced at NI Week. (Hope nobody gets offended when I drop all their feeds afterwards.)

...and no, I don't have a facebook account either.

I'm the same! And I know I'm getting old, which is maybe the main reason for being that way! :D

I've started to use twitter a bit, but I feel the same. I think this xkcd comic says it all...

oops.gif Wow. I just remembered you created that guy years ago.

I'm the same way. I don't mind forums and participate in a few. I only signed up for Twitter so I could be a "follower" of a few famous folks I really admire.
