nhollenback Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I think I passed the CLD test at NI week, any suggestions ongetting ready for the CLA ? I'm assuming you've read the tasks & objectives... A good start is to go over those and go back over your LV manuals. Make sure that you fully understand all sections in the manual that are referred to in the tasks & objectives. Quote
jzoller Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Getting ready for the exam myself. I thought Darren's blog had a nice, practical approach: http://labviewartisan.blogspot.com/2009/02/labview-certification-preparing-for-cla.html Joe Z. Quote
Mark Yedinak Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I would recommend taking the Advanced Architectures course. Quote
crelf Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Does it matter? No, I just enjoy typing for the finger exercise it gives me I think it does. I'd recommend different resources if you're already a software architect that if you aren't. Quote
Gary Rubin Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 No, I just enjoy typing for the finger exercise it gives me Thanks Chris. I almost ended up with tea all over my monitor. Quote
nhollenback Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Thanks Chris. I almost ended up with tea all over my monitor. Thanks Gary - my laptop almost got a nice dusting of Diet Dr. Pepper. jcarmody Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I would say that working full-time as a LabVIEW developer for a few years wouldn't hurt. We had a thread in LAVA 1.0 from a gentleman that tried to go from LabVIEW zero to hero in short order. Does anybody remember how that worked out? Quote
jhoskins Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 And I know an instructor who likes to travel and thinks onsites for the AAL rock! And I can say from experience from the class at NI Week. She is a very good. ROBOTS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe Quote
crelf Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 ROBOTS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROBOTS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I can say from experience from the class at NI Week. She is a very good. I concur - if you get a chance to take a class with Nancy, then do it - you'll learn much more LabVIEW goodness than just the course material. Quote

Wire Warrior Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 I concur - if you get a chance to take a class with Nancy, then do it - you'll learn much more LabVIEW goodness than just the course material. I'll also chime in and say Nancy's classes rock! Matter of fact the Advanced class she taught is how I found LAVA and much other LabVIEW goodness on the internet. Quote
