Wire Warrior Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 During a presentation at NI Week, sorry can't remember which one exactly, the presenter suggested that the "Mark Balla Tool" was a great piece of IDE support code to have. This code was a utility VI or VIs that was said to be available on the code repository. I can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks WireWarrior Quote
Wire Warrior Posted August 13, 2012 Author Report Posted August 13, 2012 No it wasn't the Icon editor....maybe it was part of that but this was a smaller, VI manipulation piece. It centered VIs arranged connector panes, etc. Good for cleanup of old code. Quote
asbo Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 The other file listed under his name is FP SubVI Fixer ver 6 LV 2009. Guessing that's it. http://lavag.org/files/file/128-fp-subvi-fixer-ver-6-lv-2009/ Quote
Wire Warrior Posted August 13, 2012 Author Report Posted August 13, 2012 That's it Thanks! How did you search for things under his name? I couldn't do this.... Quote
asbo Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Use the search box in the corner to search for his name. At his profile, select the Files tab on the left. Quote
Mark Balla Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 The support topic also has embedded videos explaining how it works http://lavag.org/top...-ver-6-lv-2009/ I am currently using Quick drop Ctrl-Space Ctrl-I to start the fixer. If you want me to post the vis to do this let me know. thanks again to Nancy for the plug Mark 2 Quote
Wire Warrior Posted August 15, 2012 Author Report Posted August 15, 2012 Mark, Yes I would like to have the quick drop integration. Please post the VIs Quote
Mark Balla Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Here is the step by step of how to call the fixer via Quick Drop. 1: Place the Call Fixer Plugin.vi and subvi folder QD plugin Call Fixer.zip in the National Instruments-LabVIEW 2011-resource-dialog-QuickDrop-plugins folder. 2: Open Quick Drop (Ctrl-Space) and click on the shortcuts button 3: Go to the shortcut key tab 4: Select the Call Fixer Plugin from the list and assign a control key. The plugin assumes that you have placed the Subvi fixer in the LabVIEW 2011-project-PROGRAM TOOLS folder If the fixer is not in this folder then you will need to modify the Call Fixer.vi Let me know if this works or you have anymore questions.
