xcontrol Modify XControl value in Method

I'm trying to accomplish a trivial task in an XControl: set the (Numeric) value using a method. Specifically, the method needs to increment the data value by a specific amount, and trigger a Value Change event accordingly.

 

How do I get access to the 'value' property of the XControl from within the XControl library itself?

You read the value by unbundling it from the display state cluster. Then in your facade you have to display the change by writing it to your control in the 'Display State Change' case. I've attached a simple example.

Thank you! Keeping a 'shadow value' in the display state seems a bit clumsy, but it works well!
