Jordan Kuehn
Anyone have any news if NI will be bringing this conference back? I see the Austin Convention center has a listing for May 24-26, 2022. Quote Link to comment
josborne01
I am curious, too. Might be nice to book plane tickets if its gonna happen. Quote Link to comment
Stagg54
if they haven't put out a call for presentations yet or mentioned anything in the press or to the community by now, it ain't happening in May. The convention center probably only shows that because they probably signed a multi-year deal and just haven't officially cancelled with the convention center yet. Quote Link to comment
Michael Aivaliotis
The online stuff is OK, but nothin beats in-person. NIWeek used to be where I connected with the community, met old friends and made new ones. It's sad really. Quote Link to comment
jcarmody
I had dreams of someday going to one and taking selfies with all of my LabVIEW heroes. Quote Link to comment

Never meet your heroes. Unless it's me and you're planning on buying me a Texas Tea at the piano bar. In that case you should definitely meet your heroes. 1 Quote Link to comment

Gribo
There is a reason we call the NI forums the dark side. Quote Link to comment

Also a Texas Tea is like a long island tea but with tequila instead of gin. I like gin, and don't usually like tequila but man when I'm at NI week, those are amazing. Thank you @Mark Balla. brian
I was looking at https://www.ni.com/en-us/events/niconnect.html where it says: Quote Will there be speaking opportunities at NI Connect? There will not be an external “Call for Presentations” for NI Connect Austin. Elsewhere, it hints that there could be external presentations, but my guess is they'll be industry-focused (and apparently with invited speakers only). Anybody heard more about it? Any thoughts on this? Quote Link to comment
jacobson
The question below that seems to indicate that there may not be a call for presentations because they'll just pull from previously accepted sessions but who knows. Hopefully there will be good technical presentations still. Quote I was selected to speak at NIWeek 2020. Will I be given a chance to speak at NI Connect 2022 automatically? There is not an automatic transfer of all previously accepted sessions into the 2022 program. However, we’ll prioritize currently approved sessions when 2022 conference planning begins and contact you regarding next steps. Quote Link to comment

Michael Aivaliotis
So we are all meeting up again this year? Yay? Quote Link to comment

Jordan Kuehn
I have approval for the trip and will be bringing a few other engineers. LAVA BBQ happening? Quote Link to comment
Michael Aivaliotis
I'm thinking of going. Anyone else? Quote Link to comment
A Scottish moose
Corp gave the rubber stamp so I'm planning on being there. Quote Link to comment
Stagg54
I'll be there. But since you are also going to GDevCon NA, we could do a LAVA BBQ there as well. Or might might I suggest a LAVA tubing event? There is a whitewater park a block from the venue. Quote Link to comment
bjustice
Was there ever a call for presentations for this event? Or should we expect for this to be all NI presentations? Will there be a LAVA (advanced users) track? Quote Link to comment
