  1. You should use 'Execution lighting' (with the light-bulb) to see what happens. Also read about Dataflow. You will have issues with printing multiple times. Ton
  2. We use Acronis true image. from a bootable cd, runs fast good GUI (windows like), and backups to USB drives. Ton
  3. QUOTE (neB @ Jun 9 2008, 11:57 PM) QUOTE (crelf @ Jun 10 2008, 12:16 AM) I can testify to that! So how do Ben's initial programs look like? Ton
  4. You won't get your VI back. NI will not (and they shouldn't) help you. Unless you know the password. Ton
  5. QUOTE (ned @ Jun 9 2008, 08:11 PM) For the sake of being honest sometimes I just create an express VI, and then convert it into a normal VI and customize. Instead of hiding I create a user-visible part inside a decoration, and with OpenG functions I limit the visible part to this decoration. QUOTE On a side note, does anyone else ever use an event structure outside a loop when you just want a VI to wait until a single event (Window close, button click, etc.) occurs before terminating the VI? Yes, see http://wiki.openg.org/Wait_for_value_change' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">here. (and give your support in the accompanying forum). Ton
  6. QUOTE (jbrohan @ Jun 9 2008, 11:40 AM) I don't think this will work, you most likely need to recompile the code (esp. if you have special OS disabled structures), I doubt that the Runtime can do recompile of such items. Ton
  7. This is a Cross-post, please mention you cross-posted with the link. Ton
  8. And I miss (some) attachments from this thread. Even opening an attached PNG fails. Ton PS, sorry that 'They' have to do overtime again.
  9. QUOTE (tcplomp @ Jun 5 2008, 08:09 PM) Michael did you get my PayPal Payment? Some missing pages: The user page of Michael The Find 'users posts' of Crelf Ton
  10. QUOTE (crelf @ Jun 6 2008, 12:57 AM) Good description, but I don't think it is possible. QUOTE (Aristos Queue @ Jun 6 2008, 04:21 AM) Yes, it would make a lot of sense to allow this for polymorphic VIs. Unfortunately, we didn't have the idea until late in the game and the architecture we use for testing scope has proven inflexible for making this work. It's a low priority desirable behavior. Let me bump this. Together with the same behaviour for typedefs. Ton
  11. QUOTE (neB @ Jun 5 2008, 03:46 PM) I was about to put a bug report because of the fact that I saw Google adds all over the place. But then I found in my LAVA folder in gmail a mail stating my Premium Membership was overdue. Somehow I didn't get a new bill. But the most worrying for Michael should be that the http://forums.lavag.org/index.php?act=paysubs&CODE=index' target="_blank">pay-page is gone as well Ton
  12. QUOTE (Gabi1 @ Jun 5 2008, 07:51 PM) You could do this with Excel and the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit. Open up the datasheet, prompt the user to select the data of interest, read (programmatically via .net) the current selection and you have your first match. Ton
  13. Hmmm, here in the Netherlands I've never been called.... I only get calls once every month about open SRQs. Ton
  14. I advice you to use Data-portal properties. In your TDR you can create a table that has several entries. In LabVIEW you need to generate a VI that stores these entries inside the data-portal. The help-file of DIADem is sometimes hard to study but the record macro function is very usefull. Ton
  15. I am not sure if this is CR-only, so I post a regular bug. If you go to a CR-page (the CCT for instance), you scroll a bit down untill, the 'Estimate file size' is in the centre. If you hit the 'Estimate File Size' link a Java-in-site-popup is shown. However this pop-up is located at the top of the page, only showing half of the window. The same goes for 'email file' Firefox 2.0 Ton
  16. Could the downloa file button be moved into the upper region of the page? Maybe in the File Information table? Ton
  17. Crelf has given tagging a whole new meaning. Bullying via tagging. Maybe we can use a similar approach to label homework hustlers? Ton
  18. QUOTE (Michael_Aivaliotis @ May 30 2008, 07:58 PM) I can currently tag so it seems to be fixed. QUOTE (crelf @ May 31 2008, 10:12 PM) I think that hiding it would be anitproductive with respect to the idea of tags, but I agree that they're distracting - they're huge! I'd prefer to see something that's just one small, medium gray line of text, preferably in a font different to that of the thread post text. Something like this: Tags: This content has not been tagged yet I like your idea.
  19. QUOTE (neB @ May 30 2008, 06:44 PM) I got a 'The tag you submitted is not allowed'. Editing an existing tag is allowed (see your question about no-one tagging) Ton
  20. QUOTE (El_Frito @ May 30 2008, 05:46 PM) Don't do that!!!! This will fail (as you have noticed) See http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&view=by_date_ascending&message.id=247057#M247057' target="_blank">here for a thorough explanation of the why. Ton
  21. QUOTE (orko @ May 29 2008, 08:55 PM) So Orko got a square wife QUOTE (PaulG. @ May 29 2008, 10:14 PM) There is no such thing as a "square sine wave". It's sinusoidal or it non-sinusoidal. It can't be both. I'm not sure but I remember from high-school that there is a sinus 'function' where the signal is flat during the first n degrees, maybe that's it? EDIT: It's a square wave Ton
  22. QUOTE (jpdrolet @ May 29 2008, 01:36 AM) Hands down, entertaing and creative Ton
  23. QUOTE (PaulG. @ May 29 2008, 06:24 PM) I know that some right-click keyboard functions aren't detected by LabVIEW... Maybe the MS accesibility has something for you, or LabVIEW might interprete ctrl-click as right-click (to keep the Mac users happy). Ton
  24. Multisim is a seperate product from National Instruments, and should be bought seperatly. Ton
  25. QUOTE (Justin Goeres @ May 28 2008, 05:27 PM) He has children... And it's amazing what they do when they encounter a PC with a mouse 'Look daddy it moves' 'Look daddy your computer likes my drink' Ton
