Checking of TCP/IP connection in myRIO

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have developed a stand alone application of NI myRIO for making measurements and the communication is with my PC via TCP Connection using the USB cable. I am using a python script for the communication. My application works fine and makes all the measurements i ask for. I wanted the myRIO to detect a close in TCP connection as my measurements take time and the myRIO does not realize when the connection is closed. Does anyone know how I could check for active TCP connection once the TCP connection has been established? Thank you

Regards

Shravan

Performing a TCP read on a closed connection produces error code 66.

I am implementing a TCP connection between MyRio(client) and Python(server). The goal is to send data from the server to the client, perform some calculations, and send the result to the server. I need to keep changing the data being sent to the client. I noticed the first data works fine and the result returned to the server, but the client could not read subsequent data. I debugged and was able to detect that the error is coming from the first read function is the "Reading values subvi"  but I don't know how to correct it. How do I go about it?
I have attached the files below.

Hello I am quite new to labview and I have some questions regarding labview. We have came up with a simulation build in labview as shown in the folder. However, we will be making use of Myrio to connect current and voltage sensors to send the data to labview when labview is running. We are currently having difficulties trying to search if it is possible to send the wave files and the popout messages ( messagebox.vi and Player2Wins.vi) to NI Dashboard for Labview in Ipad by using myrio. Is it possible for myrio to store wave files and the additional VIs and sending these to NI Dashboard for Labview?

Otherwise, it is possible for Labview to send the entire program.vi, messagebox.vi and Player2Wins.vi to cloud and people are able to see the GUI in program.vi remotely? ( We have found information like Labview web services etc. We hope that people are able to view our GUI and press the " Press start" button as well as closing the popout messages in a website not from our local network).

I sincerely apologize if what I am asking does not make sense to people who are reading this. I hope that someone will help me with this as it is very difficult for me to do and I need some guidance from people who are familiar with these. Thanks for taking your time to read and your reply.

Hi guys. This semester I'm starting a course system development for control and automation engineering, witch will be based on LabView. Therefore, my University doesn't have a NI hardware, even a MyRIO for us to test our VI and the teacher said that we should test our projects with our own Arduino...
So, I have a little experience in Arduino and I know the basics for LabView. Now I'm in a point that I know that with Arduino I'll not take the best from LabView. I cannot even deploy a code to it.
So, there is where my question comes in...
I'm looking for a new board better then Arduino to use in the classes. I would buy a MyRIO card if I had the money but in Brazil this board is too expensive for me
Witch one should I get that is closest to myRIO and less expensive than that? I would like to try de deployment of a VI and FPGA..... Is this possible?
Thanks a lot for the help!

      Hi,
How i can to send the data through modbus TCP/IP (behavior of a PLC) and receive the data in other client computer with ( station , I/O ADRESSE)
can you send me an example for this operation please.

      Thank you for your help.

I have a Thermotron test chamber with an 8200 controller to which I'd like for LabVIEW to talk. Basically, I only just need for LabVIEW to know the current set point of the Thermotron for whatever internal program it might be currently running. Only just that. Just so LabVIEW knows what it's trying to do at any particular moment. So LabVIEW can ask and get an answer.
Our 8200 controller has TCP/IP and GPIB. But I've never yet done ought with either of those, only just RS-485 up until now. So I'm not sure just where to start.
Anyone out there have helpful clues?
